About This Page

Welcome to my home projects

This is a snapshot page showcasing my ongoing projects, trials and errors, hopes and dreams for my property! I'm excited to share the various activities and practices I’m engaged in as I create my permaculture dreams. Be sure to explore my blog posts in the Home Projects section and join me on this journey!"

The Upper Food Forest

I started this food forest in the Spring of 2025.  This is my trial, easier to maintain, food forest before moving down to the bottom of the yard. It grew wonderfully in 2025, but the winter of 2025/2026 has been an unusally warm winter and the plants are stressed. We will see how they continue to grow.

Dried Flowers

I have planted sooo many different types of flowers. I have been drying them and experimenting different art projects with them.  Keep your eyes peeled in the future for products that come out of them!

Propgation Station!

Hubby's favorite part of planting is propagating.  This year he decided that we needed more roses, a peach tree and some grapes. Keep watch for videos and courses on propagation strategies later in 2026!

The Annual Garden

Started these garden beds in the spring of 2024. Husband is still "getting around" to finishing the fencing outside. The number of times horses have decided to run through it have been frustrating.  Hoping this year! Been crop rotating for 2 years so we will continue to see how this method supports the gardens growth.

Indoor Growing

This Winter I decided it was time to pull out my hydroponics growing systems so I could have fresh herbs and lettuce all year.  Its been great! Fresh Pesto is my favorite

Seed Starting

On a cold and dreary day I decided to take my first step in organizing my seeds.  I like to go through everything I have and organize them into the months they need to be started.  This allows me to see what plants I may need and gives me a time frame to start. Check out my blogs for more!
