About
A self-paced program designed for beginners, seniors, and people with disabilities, focusing on simple lasagna composting and in-ground worm composting methods. Learn how to create nutrient-rich compost with minimal effort and accessible techniques and tools. In this lesson I wanted to share the gift of composting in the most accessible ways I know how. Being able to compost is one of the most simplest ways to make your own dirt, add nutrients to your soil and recycle the some of food from your home. Not only does this benefit your garden, but it also benefits the planet. When someone has limited mobility and strength composting can seem like a monumental task, and some types and parts can be a lot. In this course I want to show you easy and simple ways that someone with limited mobility can still reap the rewards of the natural food cycle. If you have no back yard and live in an urban center there are also still ways that you can compost, they do require slightly more work and care than outdoor and in garden methods but there are still options that will be listed in this course. Many people now live in urban centers where they offer organic pick ups! Which is an amazing step forward. In a city where I use to live the city also offered the soil produced free to the citizens. Check out your local resources and see if that is accessible for you. For anyone who wants to start there own composting journey at home.
